At Wild West Rafting we provide whitewater and overnight camping trips for all families and adventurers. Our three top trips are our full-day whitewater, half-day whitewater, and overnight rafting trips.
On the full-day trip, we float a total of 18 miles of the Yellowstone River stopping around mile 10 for a picnic lunch, riverside, before floating through historic Yankee Jim Canyon where we encounter class III rapids and (water level depending) one class IV rapid. This trip can take anywhere from 4-5 hours (door to door) depending on the water level.
On the half-day trip, we float a scenic 8 mile stretch of the Yellowstone River encountering class II and III rapids along the way. These trips usually take 1.5-2 hours depending on the water level and depart from our office at all times of the day so plenty of time for rafting and another activity in the park!
Our overnight rafting trip encompasses all that you would experience on the full-day rafting trip plus a riverside camping experience in one of our tipis! We pull off river to our camp where all of your prepacked belonging will be waiting for you. We then enjoy the late afternoon with some casual riverside activities before our guides/staff cook a cowboy style steak dinner for you. As on all of our trips, any dietary restrictions can be taken into account.
In addition to the above, we provide scenic floats where we miss all whitewater. On these trips you can take photos and even a cup of coffee if you like. We also take action and family photos on all of our trips for an additional charge.
Give us a call or visit our website to book your trip and we hope to see you on the Yellowstone this summer!
