On Tuesday July 14, 2020 the community of Gardiner suffered a historic fire that destroyed several iconic Gardiner institutions. Unfortunately, the Two Bit Saloon was lost in this tragic event. The Gardiner Chamber of Commerce recognizes the overwhelming loss of the small businesses, community history, residences, and livelihoods. However, we feel fortunate that everybody is safe. We are humbled by the massive efforts brought forward from volunteers, mutual aid from surrounding communities, first responders, the National Park Service, law enforcement, and countless others who stepped forward with courage and kindness. We thank you. Because of you numerous businesses were saved, and you have proven how strong our small community is.
