Gardiner Chamber of Commerce & Visitor Center

 

 

The Gardiner Chamber of  Commerce is HIRING a full-time  Operations Manager  

Under the supervision of the Executive Director, the Operations Manager will oversee the general operations of the Gardiner Chamber of Commerce Convention & Visitors Bureau (CVB).

Roles and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:  

  • Overseeing daily operations of the Visitor Information Center 
  • Responsible for tracking walk-in visitation and managing visitor inquires via in person, email, phone, and mail • Participate in monthly Chamber Board of Directors meetings  
  • Assist with ordering, stocking, and distribution of brochures and travel literature 
  • Recruit, train, schedule, and supervise seasonal Visitor Information Center Specialists and volunteers • Oversee properties and facilities and report to Executive Director 
  • Develop and implement systems to ensure smooth operations of all Chamber properties 
  • Help the Executive Director with the application and administration of grants  
  • Coordinate events, fundraising activities, and other functions as necessary 
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining media databases and editorial calendars as needed 
  • Aid with creating and editing content for ads including the Gardiner Community Newsletter, VisitGardinerMT.com,  various promotions, social media platforms, and other items as needed 
  • Assist with the maintenance and updating of the VisitGardinerMT.com and social media accounts  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds  
  • Must have valid drivers license 
  • Other duties as assigned  

The ideal candidate is self-motivated, outgoing, with effective customer service and leadership skills, and has a desire to cultivate  their career as an office professional. This person must be willing to develop, or already possess, a strong knowledge of Gardiner,  Yellowstone National Park, and the State of Montana, and enjoy sharing it with a variety of people. Preferred qualifications include:  

proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, experience with social media platforms, strong written and oral communication skills, famil iarity with managing a point of sale system, and knowledge of non-profit operations. This is a full-time year-round position based in  Gardiner, MT. This position is eligible for retirement benefits, a health insurance stipend, and PTO. Wage DOE.
